Change your State of Mind

“When you begin to worry, go find something to do. Get busy being a blessing to someone; do something fruitful. Talking about your problem or sitting alone, thinking about it, does no good; it serves only to make you miserable. Above all else, remember that worrying is totally useless. Worrying will not solve your problem.”–Joyce Meyer

This is a struggle for everyone.  When everything in your life is something to worry about. So how do we get through that?

When you begin to realize that no matter what you’re going through in life, it’s temporary. If you get flustered stifling any sort of progress the situation stalls or gets worse.

Begin to look at trials and tribulations as a coaching exercise. Learn to realize God is coaching you to become a world-class you! What do coaches do? They train you to go beyond what you believe you can do. Stretch yourself beyond your limiting beliefs.

self improvement, self help, happy

This was life changing for me. I don’t look at difficulties as a problem, but a learning experience preparing me to handle anything life can throw at me. Yes, at times, you can feel alone, lost, and defeated. At this moment I think of myself as running dead last in a race. I can choose to fail, or I can run my heart out and win.

God is merely working all of us out. He is training us to handle anything the enemy can throw to disrupt our life. Why can’t God just fix my life? He is trying by letting you work through the pain to strengthen your resolve.

It hurts I can’t do it! God never puts more on our plate than we can handle. Hard to understand, but here is the skinny. Get through this because on the other side of pain is your destiny. Bigger and brighter than you can imagine.

Change the way you look at problems. They’re not happening at you they’re happing for you!

Here are some exercises you can do to change your state-of-mind:

  1. Crank up some music that gets you dancing. Music can immediately improve your state and put a smile on your face.
  2. Breathe. Take 60 seconds or so and just breathe. In through the nose and out through the mouth, beautiful and relaxing.
  3. Pray. Nothing like a good prayer. You can hand God the garbage he is ready to be a blessing to you and carry it out.
  4. Meditate. Find the right place to meditate and relax your mind and body.
  5. Take a walk. Get outdoors and walk to help relieve muscle stress. Throw on some headphones and good music.

Okay, five things to help you change your state-of-mind. The rest is up to you. Don’t wait, don’t procrastinate, GO, DO, START, BEGIN, NOW!!! 🙂

Self Image Love Yourself, Happy, Joy, Freedom, Success

“A strong, positive self-image is the best possible preparation for success.”–Joyce Brothers

If you cannot lovingly see you, how can you expect others too? Might have heard that once or twice in your life, ya think!

Learning to nurture and love ourselves is the cornerstone of achieving real success. I’m not taking money success. Sadly most equate success = money. If you’re a successful parent that has no financial value. The value is not measurable, having success with phylogenetic relationships.

self love, happy, life

Learning to have a positive self-image takes work like any other relationship. Taking care of your body, your mind, and soul. Without it, we tend to drift lost. Take time daily to care for yourself. Learn to smile at yourself in the mirror every morning.

Five Quick changes you can do now:

  1. Take care of your body. You don’t have to be a gym regular, but do something every day to keep your body active. Walk!
  2. Take care of your soul. Meditate, pray, and give time for spiritual enrichment.
  3. Broaden your mind. Make an investment in your knowledge. Read a book.
  4. Get toxic people out of your life.
  5. Train your mind to affirm positive thoughts in your account.

If you’re going to gain real success in every aspect of your life. Number 1 love yourself!

Today, Today, Today, NOT Yesterday or Tomorrow, TODAY!

“Today is the only day. Yesterday is gone.”–John Wooden

Learning to live in the moment is a bit easier said than done. However, truth be told we don’t have yesterday and tomorrow is not known. Oh, sure we have to plan ahead of time.

Being present in the moment is in my mind is entirely focused on the tasks before me. Not worrying about what happened yesterday but total attention to the task-at-hand. Each day should be lined out with specific tasks that produce a result. Busy work is just that busy work.

prayer, God, Happiness

To make a real change in our lives, we must produce a result from our daily routine. If you organize the day so that you have actionable tasks that deliver a measurable effect. Amazing things will begin to happen. For example, I enjoy writing more in the morning than at any other time. So as a task, I set aside specific times of the morning to write. Not stopping until I am finished.

Moving onto the next task only when completing the current. If possible, don’t leave off one job before you finish the flow. Situations change but stay on task as much as possible. It takes to discipline yourself. That change comes with the right practice.

What happens to most of us is we get caught up in things that take away from what you can do right now. Worried about what is coming or concerned about what has happened. If we’re going to fix anything the work has to come first. Sitting and worrying gets nothing done.

Don’t perpetuate problems solve them. Solving them is being present at the moment focused on what can be done NOT what has been done!

Dark Foreboding Clouds fill the Sky with Beauty at Sunset, What do you see?

“Clouds come floating into my life, no longer to carry rain or usher storm, but to add color to my sunset sky.”–Rabindranath Tagore

Perspective gives way to negative or positive thoughts. It’s our choice which side of the bench we sit on, positive or negative. Don’t give an idea to the negative even when that’s all you can see.

clouds, sunset, lake, mountains,

Negativity is a byproduct of the enemy wanting you to stay status quo. Yes, easier said than done. Many days I have to give to God, “I don’t see you, feel you, or understand why I suffer.” At this point, merely surrender to God, let him know that you believe he has a way when you can’t see a way out.

The quote is right clouds can add a beautiful picturesque color filled Sunset to the end of the day. A dramatic wonder of God’s creation.

Right now, I am working through a time where I feel apart from God. It’s not that I don’t believe, or have faith. It’s that at this moment, I need to quiet my mind and try to hear what God is saying. I am struggling through and keep letting God know I’m here.

Tomorrow will not come happy Without taking care of Today, Be in the Moment

“Tomorrow is only found in the calendar of fools.”–Og Mandino

Being present in the moment! Are you present at the moment or looking forward? How much could you get done today if you did not worry about tomorrow?

I included it’s easier said than done to not worry about tomorrow. Especially when our lives are broken up into months, monthly payments and so on. How we get productivity vs. activity is to focus our efforts on today. There is no tomorrow if you do nothing today!

plan, schedule, success

Organize your day if necessary hour to hour. You will be surprised if you focus solely on productivity how much you can get done.

If we focus on the day tomorrow will have brighter dawn to wake up to.

Have a blessed day!
