Living Today will Give You a Blessed Tomorrow

“Learn to enjoy every minute of your life. Be happy now. Don’t wait for something outside of yourself to make you happy in the future. Think how really precious is the time you have to spend, whether it’s at work or with your family. Every minute should be enjoyed and savored.”–Earl Nightingale

One of the hardest lessons I’ve learned is how to live in the moment. Not have my mind worried about the end of the month bills or some other monster that’s not even in the room.

We tend to project ourselves down the road as it were. Worrying about what might happen instead of focusing on tasks at hand. Solving problems takes immediate action. Not something you delay. Focus yourself each day.

prayer, God, Spiritual,

When we worry about problems that are looming but not yet come to fruition. We stifle any real progress we could make. Take each day and give it the full attention of your efforts. Learn the difference between activity vs. productivity.

If for example you’re worried about the rent and you still have two weeks work left. Lot’s of things can happen in two weeks. Ask your boss if you can volunteer for overtime. Take a coworkers shift. Sit down and breathe for a moment and see what solutions could be available. Consult with someone you trust.

Answers can come when cooler heads prevail. Freaked out, worried minds, produce the same result. Learn to get rid of stress, meditate, breathe, pray, walk, workout, and if needed, take time for YOU!

Get busy living now. Make yourself do something that gives you pleasure. You can’t stress 24/7 and ever expect a good result. It’s difficult to begin; it was for me at the beginning. Now I can let go of my day and recharge my batteries to face a new day tomorrow.

With practice and commitment, you can do the same. Find time to let your head relax. So go take a walk and enjoy the moment!

Self-Doubt, Fear, on the other side, IS your Blessed Life

Self-doubt can overtake our life to the point of self-destruction. Stifle any positive progress. When you have a breakthrough along comes self-doubt. The enemy will love to see you implode.

“An exciting and inspiring future awaits you beyond the noise in your mind, beyond the guilt, doubt, fear, shame, insecurity, and heaviness of the past you carry around.”–Debbie Ford

Do you know why doubt comes into our mind? The attack of self-doubt comes from the enemy who recognizes that God is about to change your life. Your blessings are just around the bend, and the enemy says “oh no you don’t, let’s get that head filled with doubt and fear.” So, you get overwhelmed and stop.

prayer, spiritual, self improvement

When you need to shift gears, dig in and realize your amazing destiny is about to unfold. The enemy will choose to entrench himself to prevent any blessings. Fight, fight as you’ve never fought before. Don’t let him win. Let God know it’s your time; you’re not losing this time!

Let the enemy know he has no power over your life and cast him out of your mind, declare your life in Jesus name.

Don’t let doubt or fear debilitate your life. This attack is telling you that blessings are about to unfold, stay in faith! Your time to win!

Too often we take doubt, fear, despair, as though you must stop. We get depressed saying nothing will go my way. Sadly, many will give up. God never says if you get through this time for thirty days you will have blessings on day 31 and you give up on day 30. No precedent in the bible for giving up.

The amount of time we spend in despair is our choice. If you can learn to overcome, stay in faith, your destiny will open before you.

Keep your attitude knowing no matter what door slams in your face you’re going to immediately be happy because a new door is out there for you.

Cleaning up some wreckage of the past I was on the phone the other day with the IRS. Scary thought, right? The first person I was able to work with took over an hour to get on the phone — very nice lady walking me through fixing a problem. Almost done with everything and we lose our phone call. She is disconnected in a blink of an eye. All that work I was screaming “no, no, no, ah man.” Being honest you might have heard an expletive or two.

After waiting a while with no return phone call, I call back. On hold for well over an hour. Get through a few more people to get to the nice lady that helped me finish.

More to the story this is where God touched this situation with favor. After the final lady and I started, she read through my file. Comes back on the phone twenty minutes later to explain to me that what I was doing with the first person was wrong. The solution is simple. She made some adjustments to my account and like that it’s over. Everything is now okay!

God had to get me off the first call to get me to the right person. The person who would fix all and make everything okay again. God closed the phone call that by my first reaction was “no oh my no, all that work lost.” When in fact it was not the solution at all. That day I gave myself a B+ on how I handled the situation. I kept saying all the while “God has me.”

When God moves situations around in your life, sometimes it won’t make sense. Just remember that life is adjusting to help you not hurt you. Think about this for a while. Help not hurt!!!

A cure to your problem can occasionally come in the form of what you think is a problem. Don’t be fooled; keep your eye on the ball. God has you!

Let Prayer and Gratitude Fuel your Best Life

“So I say to you, Ask, and it will be given to you; search, and you will find; knock, and the door will be opened for you.”–Jesus Christ

You have not because you ask not! Have you prayed today? Do you take time to meditate, be grateful, and connect with the source?

Prayer is such a simple thing to do, just let God know what you need. Don’t beg he knows, and then be grateful you already have an answer. Stay in faith, this is what fuels your prayer. Let it go to God then do your part and trust in God even when you see NO immediate results.

The Lord may have to move things around in your life to give him a chance. Never lose faith; this is key!

Begin a life filled with prayer and gratitude, give it a real shot. Your life will change forever!

The environment is a Stewardship of Mankind

“Mankind has probably done more damage to the Earth in the 20th century than in all of previous human history.”–Jacques Cousteau
If you want to be a blessing on this earth. Pick up a pound of trash today! Does not seem like much but, it’s a pound of less waste impacting our environment. Imagine if thousands of people did this every day.

global warming, environment, change

Part of our Life Research Project talks about being a blessing. Getting outside yourself. What could you do in your area of the world to simply pick up a pound of trash? Taking care of God’s earth is a stewardship we all have. Of course, we don’t enjoy to pick up dumpster, but if WE don’t who will?

Stop walking by trash and reach down and pick it up if safe to-do. Be a blessing to our environment. When you know that what you’re doing is the best you can do, miracles will happen for you in so many ways.

Feeling good about you! Has measurable gifts for your life. When you make life not about you, you, you, find time to be a blessing to the world around you. Your heart will change, your life will fill with peace and joy. Try it!!!

Sign a Peace Treaty with Yourself Today

“If you cannot find peace within yourself, you will never find it anywhere else.”–Marvin Gaye

This quote is so accurate. Making peace with yourself is liberating. It’s also authentic if you don’t make peace with yourself, you cannot find it anywhere else.

Self-destructive behavior, depression, will keep you from finding inner peace. So many suffer years without any relief. These and other situations will require some real self-evaluation to get some needed help. There is no substitute for professional advice.

life, love, happy

In working out my own life to find peace with myself. To enjoy myself! Some days are a struggle, but the good news I catch myself so that I can breathe for a moment to remember I am okay.

How I got to this point:

  • Found a sizeable Pastoral Counseling center.
  • Learned to meditate.
  • Read books with self-improvement themes.
  • Read the Book of Proverbs!!!
  • Attend Church, found an excellent bible based church.
  • Pray

This is just a few things I have done. Practice being positive as silly as that might sound. Keep using affirmations over, and over again. It works!

NO matter what you’ve done in your life. If you’re not the same person you were, then don’t sentence yourself to a life of despair. Change and move on. Enjoy a new life and a new you.

It takes a bit of work, but completely worth the time!
