Self-Doubt, Fear, on the other side, IS your Blessed Life

Self-doubt can overtake our life to the point of self-destruction. Stifle any positive progress. When you have a breakthrough along comes self-doubt. The enemy will love to see you implode.

“An exciting and inspiring future awaits you beyond the noise in your mind, beyond the guilt, doubt, fear, shame, insecurity, and heaviness of the past you carry around.”–Debbie Ford

Do you know why doubt comes into our mind? The attack of self-doubt comes from the enemy who recognizes that God is about to change your life. Your blessings are just around the bend, and the enemy says “oh no you don’t, let’s get that head filled with doubt and fear.” So, you get overwhelmed and stop.

prayer, spiritual, self improvement

When you need to shift gears, dig in and realize your amazing destiny is about to unfold. The enemy will choose to entrench himself to prevent any blessings. Fight, fight as you’ve never fought before. Don’t let him win. Let God know it’s your time; you’re not losing this time!

Let the enemy know he has no power over your life and cast him out of your mind, declare your life in Jesus name.

Don’t let doubt or fear debilitate your life. This attack is telling you that blessings are about to unfold, stay in faith! Your time to win!

Too often we take doubt, fear, despair, as though you must stop. We get depressed saying nothing will go my way. Sadly, many will give up. God never says if you get through this time for thirty days you will have blessings on day 31 and you give up on day 30. No precedent in the bible for giving up.

The amount of time we spend in despair is our choice. If you can learn to overcome, stay in faith, your destiny will open before you.

Keep your attitude knowing no matter what door slams in your face you’re going to immediately be happy because a new door is out there for you.

Cleaning up some wreckage of the past I was on the phone the other day with the IRS. Scary thought, right? The first person I was able to work with took over an hour to get on the phone — very nice lady walking me through fixing a problem. Almost done with everything and we lose our phone call. She is disconnected in a blink of an eye. All that work I was screaming “no, no, no, ah man.” Being honest you might have heard an expletive or two.

After waiting a while with no return phone call, I call back. On hold for well over an hour. Get through a few more people to get to the nice lady that helped me finish.

More to the story this is where God touched this situation with favor. After the final lady and I started, she read through my file. Comes back on the phone twenty minutes later to explain to me that what I was doing with the first person was wrong. The solution is simple. She made some adjustments to my account and like that it’s over. Everything is now okay!

God had to get me off the first call to get me to the right person. The person who would fix all and make everything okay again. God closed the phone call that by my first reaction was “no oh my no, all that work lost.” When in fact it was not the solution at all. That day I gave myself a B+ on how I handled the situation. I kept saying all the while “God has me.”

When God moves situations around in your life, sometimes it won’t make sense. Just remember that life is adjusting to help you not hurt you. Think about this for a while. Help not hurt!!!

A cure to your problem can occasionally come in the form of what you think is a problem. Don’t be fooled; keep your eye on the ball. God has you!

How God Can Help You With the Future, He is the Coach

The other day while recording a Podcast, I had a bit of an epiphany. We’ve been talking about New Years resolutions, goals and how to get going. Speaking also about change being difficult and working through that.

My own question and a question that is posed to me all the time, “Why is change hard?”. Why if we’re Christians does God allow us to have trials and tribulations. He is God, so why can’t he just miracle me through?

prayer, meditation, Training

That’s when it came to me. God is like a great coach. If you’ve played any sort of sports, you know that coaches work you hard to make you better. Get you in shape to handle the season of play. At the beginning of the athletic season, you may train, two-a-days, extended hours to prepare you for the season.

How I now see God, as my coach. What pain and struggle I have now is preparing me for the season. If you’re Christian, you understand you have seasons of life. How can God advance you to run a marathon if you can’t run a mile?

Training is hard, some days it takes us mentally to the breaking point. “I can’t do it” “It’s to difficult” yet the champion in you won’t quit. This too, can be the breaking point that your mind will try and convince you that this is too difficult. NO, NO, it’s not. That’s your brain telling you, the enemy putting that self-doubt garbage in your head.

Where people fail is getting into self-doubt or the feeling it’s too hard. Merely giving up at the first obstacle. Another fail is “this is taking to long.” It won’t work! Successful people will tell you they are because they’re willing to take one more step than you are.

God is preparing us to win. Training is hard, sometimes excruciating. Think about if you’re going to become a world-class athlete you can’t ski a downhill if the only slope you ski is the bunny-hill.

Being a competitive athlete takes training and preparation. So it stands to reason that if God is going to bless your life with more, you need to be prepared to handle it. He is not going to let you fail. Therefore training is a must. Don’t look at it that God is not answering your prayers, trials, and tribulations are God coaching you to win. Remember, you can’t play in the Superbowl if all you’ve played is flag football with your buddies.

Think about this for a moment. If the struggle is part of your current experience, look at it as coaching. Meditate on what lessons need to be learned. Are you stressed or calm? Calm allows change to occur for the better, stress stifles progress.

Look for learning in a tough situation. It may take some time, it’s not just going to stand up and say “hey, here is the lesson” you have to find the answer. It will come when you least expect it, and it will come on God’s timetable not your own.

When you learn to allow destiny to open up as it should, life will become incredible. You have to do the work nothing comes for free.

God is going to push you like a great coach will push to mold you into a world-class athlete. The same principle applies. Are you ready to be the world-class person you’ve always dreamed of being?

Allowing myself to realize wow God is my coach, he is coaching me to be a world-class player of life. That’s when I master each training objective, I move closer to God’s true blessings for me. This realization has indeed allowed me to breathe!

Why Challenges are More Tempting than a Cinnabon

Yes, friends, I can hear you saying, “have you ever had a Cinnabon?” Of course, I have who hasn’t but and this is a big but, challenges mean HUGE change is coming!

“You gain strength, courage, and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face. You can say to yourself, ‘I lived through this horror. I can take the next thing that comes along.”–Eleanor Roosevelt
_

Challenges have to drug me through change that feels like rolling down a briar patch hill at full speed. Bruises, cuts, stickers and a BIG owe damnit. If you’re like me, sometimes we fight change because of old habits and paradigms we need to shed like a snakeskin.

hope, freedom, life

A Challenge, Quit or Win it’s your Choice!

When you learn to embrace challenges, life opens up in a whole new way. An easy analogy would be beginning a diet. At first, it’s a real challenge to put down a Soda, put down the ice cream bowl, put down a big juicy hamburger. It takes a reconditioning of our mindset to conquer this challenge. Willpower is tested to the nth degree.

Often we cave into temptation because of the pain of change at that moment is too high. Until we overcome that challenge to our will, we continue to struggle.

Here is how I overcome challenges that, in the beginning, maybe painful. Most change for a brief time is painful, just saying!

  • Resolve yourself to the fact that on the other side of this change, is that which you truly desire. Meditate on the end result daily, multiple times if needed.
  • Keep faith in your heart. Hope that you can do that which you desire.
  • Any discomfort is temporary. Change does not take the balance of your life to achieve. Really, you can’t take a month or two to make a notable lasting difference in your life? Come on!
  • No matter how dim it looks, how challenging it becomes never lose hope.
  • Make time every day to focus solely on the challenge and overcome fears that surround it.

Some will say easier said than done. Agreed!

If you don’t overcome fear, overcome pain, then nothing will change. You have to want it bad enough, the discomfort is temporary.

When challenge rears its head, you can be sure the enemy is behind this. The enemy does not want you to win. Don’t cave in! On the other side of this is the life God has for you. Nothing worth having comes without a price.

The price you pay when you successfully navigate to the other side of the challenge you will tell yourself, “I would have endured a thousand times more to have what I have achieved today.”

Giving up is a bad habit for a temporary problem. Make a choice with me today, that giving up or giving in is no longer an option in your life! God bless.

Stop Kicking Your Own Ass

Do you kick your own ass?

You’ve thrown in the towel before the fight even starts because your head says you cannot achieve anything. Friends and family say, no there is no way you can do that. So you just don’t even start.

Why??? Because you kicked your own ass!

You whipped yourself into submission. Don’t kick your own ass. For sure don’t listen to naysayers who say you can’t. THEY CANNOT, BUT YOU CAN! Are you really going to throw in the towel without even taking a step?

You have a chance to climb Mt. Everest all expenses paid, once in a lifetime opportunity. Just because today you’re out of shape you say NO. Without even trying to get into shape to do the climb, you merely say I’m 20 lbs. Overweight there is no way in hell I will ever do the hill. Are you kidding me???

self help, life, strength

Last year when I got kicked in the gut as hard as I have in my lifetime, wanted to know nothing from nothing. I was finally able to say NO MORE. I am not kicking my own ass. This time I survive and win. This time I don’t fall flat on my face, ruin my life over something temporary.

Pain is temporary; fear is momentary if you believe that. If you don’t, then you just whipped your own ass. A good country ass whipping! Take a step back and say NO more!

Once you become laser focused that this time is your time to win. You will be amazed at the shift your life will make. When it does not seem that anything is moving your way, this is where you dig in and dig in hard. The enemy will fight with everything in his arsenal to get you to quit. Give up inches from the finish line because the darkness is such that you cannot see you’re mere inches from success. One step away, you’re there.

Imagine you’re in a battle alone. About to be overrun by the enemy. Would you not throw everything you had at the enemy to save your life? Same principal. When you feel overwhelmed to the point, you can’t do anymore. Find yourself and throw every damn thing you can pick up and throw. Let the enemy know that God is the reinforcements that are coming over the horizon.

Don’t settle anymore. Have faith in yourself even when those around you don’t. We can love our family and friends, but they’re not you. They’re not the new you. The person that wins this time. Why, because you’re not going to kick your own ass.

Pour your heart and faith into a new life. What the hell do you have to lose? Nothing! Gain, however, a life with meaning, an experience that with Gods help you design. When sitting on your rocking chair looking at the sunset, do you want to say “Wow, I did that,” or “Damn I WISH I had done that.”

You decide.

Why is God Pissed at Me, He Is Not

“Although God loves us unconditionally, He does get angry at sin, wickedness, and evil. But He is not an angry God. God hates the sin, but He loves sinners! He will never approve of sin in your life, but He always loves you and wants to work with you to make progress in living a holy life in Christ.” — Joyce Meyer

When I started seeking God’s help in my life, I would think because things were not happening he was pissed at me. I was somehow not deserving of God’s love. Believing that God correct at me for my sins.

God does not punish you. Where you need to seek God’s word is in all aspects of your life. Whether you watch YouTube video’s, read your bible, or attend Church. What I lacked was education about God’s word. When I spoke to people in my church saying God is so pissed with me. The first answers always “No Honey he is not pissed at you.”

hope, prayer, pray

What I have come to learn is that is the enemy wanting me to have no faith that God cares about me. He will deceive your mind into thinking you are not worthy of God’s forgiveness. Not true under any circumstance.

Having this knowledge up front would have saved me a lot of misery. Knowing that the enemy seeks to cloud your judgment. You may have to go through some things, but God is with you. He has not forsaken you; he hears every word you utter.

In the beginning, for you think about it this way. If you were going to change something about yourself, let’s say you want an MBA from college. You must take some classes, have training, study and pass tests for you to earn your MBA. Deserved gifts don’t come to you without working towards that goal.

God cannot change you overnight. You didn’t get into a mess overnight, and you’re not going to change overnight.

You may think if things don’t change right now my life is about to blow up. Fear of loss will cloud your good judgment. Hard for me to understand, how could God let my life fall apart? So far, he has not, my financial and family life is still in some turmoil. What I have come to believe in God in his good time will reveal to me my destiny. Knowing in my heart his promises when delivered to me will be more than I could have ever asked of God.

Each day is a new blessing of some sort. I have not lost anything; the world has not come to an end. So, settling down and trusting God has brought peace in my head. The problems are still here, but they’re not insurmountable in my mind anymore. God, gives me what I can handle every day.

Don’t freak-out over a life event. Most things are not that big a deal, we just in our mind make it so. If, however, you were just handed some terrible news I do understand we all have a moment with that. God will carry us through the darkest moments. Find some pastoral care. Seek out professional care, lots of fantastic Pastoral counseling services available.

When an event comes up in our lives, rest easy it’s not God’s doing. For a long time, I thought God was punishing me anytime something terrible happened. The enemy would love for you to subscribe to this thought. He wants us to suffer! You will if you don’t see yourself, healthy, happy, joyful and in God’s loving arms.

Don’t let the enemy consume your life. I did, and it put me in very dark places with myself. Had to fight my way out. It’s not an easy battle when the enemy thinks you might get saved to a new life. He will challenge you to the death if necessary. You have free will so that statement is horrifying indeed.

I’m not stronger or weaker than anyone reading this. We all suffer from the pain. No, it’s not easy and hurts like hell. What I can tell you is that if you fight through whatever it is, you suffer from at this moment. You will find peace. Believing that God is working behind the scenes to heal your life. Faith is not free you have to fight for it. Even when you don’t think you can make one more step, take the damn step it’s your turn to WIN!

If you don’t believe in God yet then fake it til you make it, you will come to find peace. DO NOT LOSE this battle. You will feel something if you keep going. I cannot emphasize this enough. Your mind will play tricks to the point of disaster. There is NO disaster if you believe. How many stories have you heard where people were healed from Cancer, addiction, heart failure or after years of trying a woman got pregnant and blessed with a beautiful child. We’re all miracles if we genuinely believe we are.

My own life, God, brought me back from the brink of disaster. Is it smooth sailing every day of course not? Was it without work on my part heck no. It took real stamina to stay in the fight, but I did, and you can too. Do NOT sell yourself short as I once did. God is not pissed at you for your past. Your past does not define who you could be today if you chose to.

Each day you breathe air is a good day. If that is all you can be grateful for them, God will take it. All God asks of you is unwavering faith in him. Will you slip and fall, absolutely you will. Is God going to punish you for it NO? Go to him and confess yourself and you will find forgiveness from God through confession. The cool part is you will build strength, so you don’t fall again doing the same thing. That is growth!

Let me burst another bubble for you. God is not impressed with your wealth, status or lack thereof. If you truly want what God has all that is necessary for you is a belief in God. Become the person you dreamed of being; it’s in your grasp if you bring it to God.

I struggled with this for so long. As humans, we’ve been conditioned to be suspect of things we cannot see. What I have come to learn besides God is not pissed at me for my past. If I look closely enough, God works miracles in my life every day. He puts things in front of me that if my heart is receptive, I will look up and tell him to show off.
