Did you Pray Today

Praying as part of your everyday regimen. Did you pray today, why not? If you did good for you.

Why is praying daily so important?

  1. Great way to stay in faith.
  2. Take a moment to believe for what you want from your life.
  3. Keeps you in communication with God. Always a good thing!
  4. Being humble before God.
  5. Embracing the feelings of prayers being answered, showing gratitude.

Just a few in a huge list of reasons that prayer can and should be a part of your everyday life.

self help, love, faith

Letting God know you’re there as it were. I take what I call prayer walks in the morning times to simply talk to God. Funny note if people see me walking they probably think I forgot to take my medication, talking to myself.

God, knows when I am talking to him from my heart. It helps me start my day. Focused on what is important. Then I simply let God handle it. Not always easy for me, sometimes I feel like he needs my help. Not so much!

If you let life unfold before you staying in faith, the blessings are immeasurable. For times when you think if you don’t jump in everything will come to an end. DON’T! Stay in faith even when you don’t see anything but a disaster. Let it play out, let God know you are grateful that he has blessed you with the answer, Even when you can’t see it yet.

This is why you pray. Stay in faith, be grateful for the answered prayer before it manifests and don’t beg. You don’t have to beg God for anything. For example, someone close to you gets horrible health news. Don’t beg God to save them, thank God that he did save them. Pray for healing and restoration. Just don’t beg for it, you don’t have to beg!

You also don’t have to promise God; “If you just get me through this I will never ____.”

Make prayer a part of your everyday life. If you have kids pray with them. Married, pray with your spouse. Most importantly make sure you and God stay connected.

God bless!

Here is a little from the book:

Where to Begin

Coming to a point in life where the outcome thus far is a disaster. If this is you, welcome. I welcome you to the beginning of your new life. Just reading this won’t bring change about. If you want this, it’s going to take some work.

Before we begin. The importance of this one thing cannot be overstated Patience!

“Patience is not simply the ability to wait – it’s how we behave while we’re waiting.”—Joyce Meyer

Without patience to allow change to occur you will stifle progress. My mother always told me this “it took you fifty years to break your life, give yourself time to change.” She was totally right as most moms are.

Where failure befalls most is the lack of patience to allow change to occur. We live in the “I want it right now society.” Get that out of your head right now. This is where I stumbled hard. Not allowing the universe to set a new course for my life.

Questions:

I’m a Cannonball, What?

I was trying to figure out a metaphor about life and God. How does God look at my life in some terms that I can say “I get it.”

This cannon is not designed to hurt anyone, but it will blast through the enemy, self-doubt and related metaphors of this article.

God, metaphor, prayer

If I am this cannonball that is getting stuffed inside a cannon. So God puts the gunpowder in (meaning knowledge to live a beautiful, prosperous life). Then he rolls me down the barrel of the cannon. Goes around the back and I roll out the end of the cannon barrel back on the ground (not staying in faith).

God moves back around lifts me up and rolls me back into the barrel. This time he takes the plunger and really gives me a whack. Bam, Bam, Bam, (trials & tribulations) he keeps pounding me into the barrel.

I roll out again!

Stubborn I keep rolling out of the barrel back on the ground. Not following the purpose of a cannonball (losing faith). I am supposed to be shot out of the cannon (run through life happy joyous and free, my meaning).

Back on the ground God patiently goes back to the front of the cannon grabs me and puts me back in the barrel. Again using the plunger, he pushes me back towards my purpose. Stubbornly I roll myself back out of the end of the cannon to the ground yet again.

Instead of embracing my life purpose, I keep rolling myself away. I’m scared to be shot into my future, my destiny. I don’t know what will happen, I’m afraid, so I keep rolling myself out. Not staying in faith!

So time and time again God puts me back.

Finally!

God reveals to me that he keeps adding powder, pushing me down the barrel (moving me through my life) so that he can go around to light the fuse. God cannot burn the fuse to Blast you through all the naysayers, all your heartache, all your sorrow, all your sacrifices, so FAR beyond what you ever dreamed could ever occur.

If you don’t let God light your fuse. How will you ever know how far past your dreams can blasting out of God’s cannon help you go. Maybe, it’s time to let God light the fuse!!!

Frustration get rid of It

As the title would suggest getting rid of frustration, well easier said than done. Good news it’s possible to condition ourselves to at least shake it off quicker.

Frustration can if we allow it to be debilitating to some and stifling to others. We all get frustrated with work problems, relationship problems, and life in general. Our lives are moving as quickly forward as we would like for example.

self help, prayer, happy

Here are a few simple tasks to be done that can help relieve frustration:

  1. Take a minute or two several times a day to just breathe. A couple of deep cleansing breaths. A minute or so of just breathing in through the nose and out through the mouth. Relax.
  2. Whatever it is that frustrates you write down what the outcome you would like to have to overcome the frustration. Then focus on that. Put this up like an affirmation everywhere you can. The result, not the problem!
  3. When appropriate talk it out. Get someone you respect to offer a new perspective. You don’t necessarily have to agree, but you can see that alternatives do exist.
  4. Get out and walk. Clear your head. Go somewhere where you can take in beautiful trees, nature, or just a place that you find calming. Enjoy a calming walk, focus on what’s around you soak up the environment. Leave your woe’s in the car.
  5. Turn the frustration on its head. Look at what’s happening as a game challenge. To get to the next level, you have to concur where you are. Look for solutions vs. focusing on the frustration itself.

Nothing hard about these few things that you can do to help you overcome frustration. Focus your attention on the end result of where you would like to be. The path to get their will come clear as you believe for the outcome you desire.

Open your heart to possibility. Even if the outcome is not what you desire. Look at the bigger picture, perhaps God is clearing this out to make room for what your destiny indeed is. Sometimes, we must let go of toxic situations to gain our true promise. Be open in your heart, and this will come clear to you.

Smile, breathe and go take a walk!
