Storms Pass, Happiness, Freedom, Peace after the clouds are gone!

“It takes many a year, mon, and maybe some bloodshed must be, but righteousness someday prevail.”–Bob Marley

When we move to change our lives we will go through some pain. The pain you feel is the strength you’re gaining to take on the worst that can be thrown at you, yet righteousness prevails.

Goodness will manifest itself in all aspects of your life. Stay in the game, focus on the result in your mind. The storm will pass! They always do.

A Man of True Faith, John Wooden

“There are many things that are essential to arriving at true peace of mind, and one of the most important is faith, which cannot be acquired without prayer.”–John Wooden

Arguably the greatest basketball coach to have ever lived. John Wooden instilled in his players more than just fame. He taught them to be a gentleman, put their studies at UCLA above basketball. The dressed in a shirt and tie before games. Any profanity on the court put you on the bench.

Coach Wooden taught his players how to live a life of a true gentleman above all. A man of God that reminds us of their legacy to simply be good folks.

God, Prayer, Faith

With God first in his life, faith ever present. A man who lived with a wife he adored, educated kids was his real passion, created some of the best players to have ever played in the NBA, Kareem Abdul Jabar, and Bill Walton just to name a couple.

Have faith it’s that simple! Follow the examples of people like John Wooden who lived the life. Put God first in your life!

Patience will Open UP your Destiny

“I believe that an open attitude and a patient attitude go hand in hand. You see, when you let go and learn to trust God, it releases joy in your life. And when you trust God, you’re able to be more patient. Patience is not just about waiting for something… it’s about how you wait, or your attitude while waiting.”–Joyce Meyer

Patience is not something that comes quickly to me. However, the more I learn to have patience the more blessings that move through my life. Everyone I believe wants what they want, and they want it now!

Prayer, faith, God
Patience!

Life, however, does not happen on our timeline but the timeline of the Universe, God. If we learn to do the work necessary to have a faith-filled life. Letting our destiny unfold as it should with no force from our own will. Then peace-of-mind lays upon us like a warm blanket.

Learn to do the work needed to move your life forward, have a calm faith-filled knowledge that all will come to you in good time. Amazing pieces of your destiny will begin to flow to you like a river.

When adversity comes, and it will learn what lessons you can from it, gain strength so that you may move past. Patience will be tested but hold on!

Patience, faith, good work, and life will open up to you!

Is Adversity happening to you or FOR YOU

“You’re going to go through tough times – that’s life. But I say, ‘Nothing happens to you, it happens for you.’ See the positive in adverse events.”–Joel Osteen

In our previous blog post, we talked about God being our coach. As you can see in this quote to paraphrase “nothing happens to you, it happens for you.” That’s my point entirely.

What happens for you is coaching. We need to learn from adversity. Look at this as though you trained really hard one day and now you’re so sore with pain it hurts. God as your coach is going to work you out to make you stronger. Good coaches push athletes to their limits. Same principal.

winning, happy, God

Why does God do this? If you’re going to run a Marathon and you cannot even make a mile, how can you expect to move forward with the race? You have to condition yourself, a coach will push you so that you can make the distance. It’s not God saying no, it’s God pushing you so he can say yes!

When I grasped this my life truly changed. All the stress went away, and I was anxious to go to practice as it were.

How God Can Help You With the Future, He is the Coach

The other day while recording a Podcast I had a bit of an epiphany. We’ve been talking about New Years resolutions, goals and how to get going. Speaking also about change being difficult and working through that.

My own question and a question that is posed to me all the time “Why is change hard?”. Why if we’re Christians does God allow us to have trials and tribulations. He is God so why can’t he just miracle me through?

prayer, meditation, Training

That’s when it came to me. God is like a great coach. If you’ve played any sort of sports, you know that coaches work you hard to make you better. Get you in shape to handle the season of play. At the beginning of the athletic season, you may train, two-a-days, extended hours to prepare you for the season.

How I now, see God, as my coach. What pain and struggle I have now is preparing me for the season. If you’re Christian, you understand you have seasons of life. How can God advance you to run a marathon if you can’t run a mile?

Training is hard, some days it takes us mentally to the breaking point. “I can’t do it” “It’s to difficult” yet the champion in you won’t quit. This too can be the breaking point that your mind will try and convince you that this is too difficult. NO, NO, it’s not. That’s your brain telling you, the enemy putting that self-doubt garbage in your head.

Where people fail is getting into self-doubt or the feeling it’s too hard. Merely giving up at the first obstacle. Another fail is “this is taking to long.” It won’t work! Successful people will tell you they are because they’re willing to take one more step than you are.

God is preparing us to win. Training is hard, sometimes excruciating. Think about if you’re going to become a world-class athlete you can’t ski a downhill if the only slope you ski is the bunny-hill.

Being a competitive athlete takes training and preparation. So it stands to reason that if God is going to bless your life with more you need to be prepared to handle it. He is not going to let you fail. Therefore training is a must. Don’t look at it that God is not answering your prayers, trials and tribulations are God coaching you to win. Remember, you can’t play in the Superbowl if all you’ve played is flag football with your buddies.

Think about this for a moment. If the struggle is part of your current experience look at it as coaching. Meditate on what lessons need to be learned. Are you stressed or calm? Calm allows change to occur for the better, stress stifles progress.

Look for the learning in a tough situation. It may take some time, it’s not just going to stand up and say “hey here is the lesson” you have to find the answer. It will come when you least expect it, and it will come on God’s timetable not your own.

When you learn to allow destiny to open up as it should life will become amazing. You have to do the work nothing comes for free.

God is going to push you like a great coach will push to mold you into a world-class athlete. The same principle applies. Are you ready to be the world-class person you’ve always dreamed of being?

Allowing myself to realize wow God is my coach, he is coaching me to be a world-class player of life. That’s when I master each training objective, I move closer to God’s true blessings for me. This realization has indeed allowed me to breathe!
