Today, Today, Today, NOT Yesterday or Tomorrow, TODAY!

“Today is the only day. Yesterday is gone.”–John Wooden

Learning to live in the moment is a bit easier said than done. However, truth be told we don’t have yesterday and tomorrow is not known. Oh, sure we have to plan ahead of time.

Being present in the moment is in my mind is entirely focused on the tasks before me. Not worrying about what happened yesterday but total attention to the task-at-hand. Each day should be lined out with specific tasks that produce a result. Busy work is just that busy work.

prayer, God, Happiness

To make a real change in our lives, we must produce a result from our daily routine. If you organize the day so that you have actionable tasks that deliver a measurable effect. Amazing things will begin to happen. For example, I enjoy writing more in the morning than at any other time. So as a task, I set aside specific times of the morning to write. Not stopping until I am finished.

Moving onto the next task only when completing the current. If possible, don’t leave off one job before you finish the flow. Situations change but stay on task as much as possible. It takes to discipline yourself. That change comes with the right practice.

What happens to most of us is we get caught up in things that take away from what you can do right now. Worried about what is coming or concerned about what has happened. If we’re going to fix anything the work has to come first. Sitting and worrying gets nothing done.

Don’t perpetuate problems solve them. Solving them is being present at the moment focused on what can be done NOT what has been done!

Tomorrow will not come happy Without taking care of Today, Be in the Moment

“Tomorrow is only found in the calendar of fools.”–Og Mandino

Being present in the moment! Are you present at the moment or looking forward? How much could you get done today if you did not worry about tomorrow?

I included it’s easier said than done to not worry about tomorrow. Especially when our lives are broken up into months, monthly payments and so on. How we get productivity vs. activity is to focus our efforts on today. There is no tomorrow if you do nothing today!

plan, schedule, success

Organize your day if necessary hour to hour. You will be surprised if you focus solely on productivity how much you can get done.

If we focus on the day tomorrow will have brighter dawn to wake up to.

Have a blessed day!

How to Build an Empire with Goals

A new year begging and the flag has dropped the race has begun to achieve our resolutions and goals. Goals are all well and good. The biggest problem is either you don’t get started, or you just give out.

goal setting, achievement, success

If you want to build an empire, you need to get started. My philosophy is an Empire is what you believe an empire to be. Whether that’s to lose 50lbs. In weight this year, or make a million dollars. My thinking any win is part of your empire!

You can read thousands of books on goal setting. Everyone has an opinion about what you need to write out correctly. Here is my take on that.

Writing out the most detailed plan won’t accomplish anything without action. Where people fail is they don’t take consistent action. No work, no achievement!

Here are a few points that will help you stay on top of your goals:

  • Set an actionable task daily with reminders. I use my Smartphone to ring out reminders of what I need to do next.
  • Finish your daily tasks. Don’t set up too many things to achieve in a day. Finish what you begin before you move on to the next job.
  • Don’t overwhelm yourself. Be sure that what you set out to do daily is manageable. When you overcome yourself, you will eventually quit.
  • Take time to set up your calendars, to-do list, so that you don’t forget. Set up at least three months of actionable tasks. If you try and do this on short spurts, you’re just setting up to fail.

You can write down all the goals in the world. If you don’t put serious action behind that, you wasted your time. Achieving goals requires work. Take action every day, the only way is to track yourself daily. Complete daily tasks and you will see your dreams come true.

If you want to achieve start right now! Get this garbage out of your head “will start tomorrow,” NO begin right now!!!

Good luck in your New Year, I believe this will be your best year!

It’s Time to Change

Life is so seasonal when you genuinely think about how things turn one way then another. A new season in my life is beginning while another ends. It’s sad to let go of part of your life. Like so many say you can’t look in the rearview mirror and expect not to crash.

We’re supposed to say God is moving our life around so that our destiny can reveal itself to us. I get that it’s not easy today. What I had hoped would be a lifetime has been cut short. Many of the what you shouldn’t dos are running through my head. What if’s!

To indeed move forward I have come to understand that if God had blessed that which now he is changing. Then things would be status quo. Today its hard for me to follow God’s plan. The good news is that at least I’m open to change. That acceptance of what is out of my control is a good step forward. Sometimes we must allow life to change. May hurt or sting a bit, but it will get better.

More to the point its actually with some peace that I can let go. What do any of us have to lose if we just let go and let god, pardon the cliché? If life were perfect, then none of what is happening in my life would be occurring. Everything would have stayed the same. The old me would have lost all hope.

In the midst of some pain, I can see more light than dark. Sure, who does not want for things to change in their life when it’s a painful change. It would be awesome if the difference were I was a millionaire, that type of change is most welcome.

life, change, feelings

Through my spiritual study what has come clear to me is that my life has a purpose. What that purpose is can sometimes hide from my site. For a good reason, it is hidden. We have to be prepared to handle this part of our new life. If we have not grown or found some new wisdom we feel, then we missed the point. How could we ever expect to succeed with anything new?

If you have reached a point in your life as I have, changing even though painful to my heart is the only real choice to make. What the heck have we gone to lose? In my mind, it’s failed other ways maybe it’s time to think from the soul and not my head. Follow a higher purpose than myself. Believing today through faith, I will be happier and find real meaning in all my relationships.

This time I’m not losing. I’m changing no matter how painful it is sometimes, how hard the past clings on in my head. It’s time for a real change, a new outlook on life. I have begun to see miracles occur for me, and true blessings come my way.

It’s time to change!
