Beginners Guide to Meditation

Meditation is a fantastic way to help still your mind. Allowing you to relax in ways I am confident you never have before. Meditating also will enable you to visualize what your heart desires. Getting you into a state of bliss.

The great news is this is not hard at all to do or practice. The steps to get started are easy to learn.

prayer, spiritual, visualize

Let’s get started with what you need before you begin to meditate:

  1. Using meditation music helps a lot. If you have headphones for your smartphone, this works great. Headphones help drown out ambient noise that can distract your concentration. The music will help you focus your mind.
  2. Have a place you can either sit in a comfortable pillow, chair or lay down (you don’t want to fall asleep) comfortable but not so that you sleep. We want to be awake but entirely pleasant.
  3. If possible turn off cell phone notifications. It’s essential to not break your concentration.
  4. The most important thing before you begin is that you’re comfortable. Comfy clothes, bare feet, comfortable temperature, and NO distractions.
  5. Think about what you would like to focus on during your meditation practice. Try to think only about one thing, for example, pick one; relaxation, happiness, let go of stress. If you have something, then use it.
  6. Remember there is a reason its called a practice! Over time you will get excellent.
  7. There is no real time limit. What I teach is continue for 5 minutes and continue until you feel like you have finished. Find the bliss enjoy it and leave your meditation practice on a peak note.

Now that you have the stuff you need where to begin:

  1. Get into a comfortable position. It’s not a bad idea to stretch for a moment just loosen up your body, nothing fancy just stretch.
  2. Turn on the music and begin to relax.
  3. Take a few deep cleansing breaths in through the nose and out through the mouth. Fill your lungs with happiness and joy, exhale all the dark.
  4. As you finish the cleansing breaths, begin to focus on your breathing. Nice lung filling breaths in through the nose out through the mouth. No strains in breathing just nice and smooth. Filling your body with Clean healing oxygen and exhaling dark black stress, tension, and so on.
  5. Continue to breath and let your body completely relax. Remove any thought from your head, all you want to concentrate on is in with the good and out with the bad. Relax!
  6. As you feel yourself relaxing enjoy the moment, be present in that moment. (A side note here, if you’re having trouble, can’t relax or your head is running ninety to nothing, be patient. This may take a couple of sessions to master).
  7. Look through your mind’s eye and see yourself happy, stress-free, tension free, in a place that makes you happy. Feel the emotions, be grateful in this moment.
  8. Rinse and Repeat! Practice daily.

The power of meditation can only be experienced. Whatever, preconceived notion you might have. Have an open heart and give it a try.

Think You Can and You Will

Changing your mindset from “I can’t do that” to “I can.” Nothing is impossible if you truly set your mind to it. Change will come if your faith in what you endeavor is truly unwavering. Life has conditioned us to doubt our ability.

We’ve been indoctrinated into the world of “oh I can’t do that” or those around us tell us we can’t. When our peers or family say “oh don’t try that you don’t have this or that” to even complete the work. Our minds are garbage dumps for the enemy. If you truly believe you can you can. If you truly believe you cannot, well you’re right.

Stereotypes get broken everyday. People achieve amazing things because they believe they can. Nothing or no man can stop you from reaching that which you desire. The family may tell you don’t try. Usually that comes from a place where they don’t want to see you get hurt.spiritual, prayer

Perhaps in your life, you have not achieved much. Therefore, folks around you don’t think you have what it takes to do the project you intend. Don’t listen to naysayers even if they’re family. Listen to what is coming from your heart. If you have a burning to do something, then get off your butt and get going.

Let me warn you now. Be prepared to get bombarded with doubt, fear and an overwhelming will rush over you. This is normal. Remember, we all are conditioned with doubt and fear. Those are not realities you have to subscribe too. Belief, unwavering faith that you can achieve what you are working towards will overcome doubt. It takes real work but you can do it when you worth through times of doubt.

Successful people will tell you the reason they win. They’re willing to take one more step than you are to win. Losing is not an option. Fear, doubt, and roadblocks are all bumps in the road. Improvise, adapt and overcome! Moreover, don’t quit!

Stand your ground in faith. Learn to develop a mindset of positive thoughts. Do the work before you and believe in your passion. It may be a title fight to get what you desire, but imagine what life change will come if you maintain your faith.

Belief is More Important than How

From personal experience, you have to believe before the how will present itself. If you don’t believe down in your bones then the how will seem to elude you.

If you begin to see it before you get what it is you want, it will come into your life that much faster. What slows us down is the how we accomplish a thing. Don’t worry about that. If you don’t know then how will come to you? It may come in the form of an idea popping in your head. A person out of the blue will show up with the answer. Something will happen that comes across your path all because you believe it to be so.

You have to put action behind your belief. Sitting on the couch watching cartoons, eating pizza and you suddenly say “I need money to pay the rent” um sorry you have to get off your behind and take action. Do the smallest of things to begin to see and believe what it is you’re trying to do.

faith, belief, Jesus
Believe Before You See

You can do things to take action such as educating yourself further in what it is you want to do. Read books, visit locations, speak to people familiar with what it is you want. Don’t worry if you don’t have the money, the connections, just focus on believing it’s so. If you don’t think it will happen, you’re 100% right.

Don’t put a time frame on anything. Successful people will tell you the reason they win. They’re willing to take one more step than you are. Willingness to dig in and move one more action than the competition. No matter the pain of the effort they make it. Dreams have to be worth fighting for, or they’re just that dreams. Big difference between passion and hope. Think about that sentence for a while.

We as humans waste so much time and energy on stupid things. Take this moment to see yourself in a whole new way. Visualize the life you want every day. If you do experience will unfold as it should. Destiny awaits those that will believe in a great future.

Take time daily to get still in mind, and visualize the future you would be proud. The how will come if you believe.

I Ain’t Going Down No More

This walk we take through life has curves, cliffs, mountains, snow, ice, you name it your mind can put you in a dangerous place. These are the things that we run into in our mind. I love the saying that turmoil is the price of admission for a beautiful life. We all have something to learn from our pain. I don’t like pain any more than you do, but we can work through it.

I remember a scene in Rocky II when Rocky is fighting Apollo Creed. Rocky takes punch after brutal punch, knocked down time and time again. Rocky stumbles back to his corner face swollen, bleeding seemingly out of steam and Rocky tells Mickey “I ain’t going down no more.” He finds his strength out of being beaten down, hit again and again. The power to go on. Not to quit.God, faith,

The point is if you’re getting your ass kicked by life it’s time to say “I ain’t going down no more.”

Okay, I hear everyone saying sure easier said than done. You have to ask yourself if you’re saying that “Have I had enough yet?” Say it, say it NOW! Tell the enemy to get out of your head, you ain’t going down no more.

The first thing you have to come to terms with is that enough is enough. NO matter the pain or turmoil in your head. Get to a place in your mind where you can make quite the spirit. The only way I can tell you to do it meditate. You can find free guided meditations on YouTube, put on some headphones on close your eyes and listen. Feel yourself relaxing. If you have to play it ten times before you begin to feel something do it.

Here is the trouble you may run into. We’re all I WANT IT NOW people. So what happens is people quit. They stop just at the moment change is going to happen. Successful people will tell you why they’re successful is they’re willing to take one more step than you are. You can’t quit. The enemy will fight you tooth and nail to beat you. Don’t live in your head live in your soul. Your head will jack you up. Your soul is where love, abundance, and relief live.

Your head will trick you and leave you in a terrible place. Open up your heart, your soul to find real peace. You can do this during meditation, connecting with God, the universe, Devine source, or a higher power. When you join with whom I call God during meditation a whole new world opens up, “I ain’t going down no more.”

See yourself in meditation, happy, abundant and living the life dreams are made of. It can happen. Don’t quit too soon. There is NO quick fix. You have to own the pain when you do you hold the world. “Own that Shit”–Harley Quinn. Peace will come during meditation if it takes a little time it will. Let your mind go to God, divine source, you will find peace to hold onto.

Don’t tell yourself it’s too much. NOTHING is too much. Here is a terrible example of pain, loss of a child. The terrible sad truth is life will go on no matter how much we don’t want it to at that moment. Pain is pain, is pain. The loss of someone is the most unbelievable pain we can experience. Yet the sun will come up tomorrow. You can’t stop fighting to get out of your difficult situation. You can’t lose faith when there is nothing to hold onto but faith. The hope of change may be all you have right now, take it, own it. Peace is coming I promise it is.

This is why you have to connect to a Devine source. Sometime’s there is no real answer, especially when we lose something as precious as a loved one. I use this extreme because most problems pale in comparison. If you’re reading this and you have lost a loved one my heart goes out to you.The loss is painful, but it will pass even when you believe it won’t, it will. God be with you.

For most problems when we’re in the middle of them, the pain can be daunting. So massive we can’t see a way out. I have very recently gone through this. My life is turned upside down, finances are in turmoil, family, the list goes on. The enemy has taken my joy on many days, where I was just a mess. Bulldozing my way through has been a struggle. I have been knocked down time and time again in my own head. It’s not real, it’s the enemy who will try at all cost keep you down. DO NOT LISTEN!!!

We all hear change is not easy. No, it’s not, but you can do it! I have had days where it’s so black in my head, indeed a dark place no human wants to go.

Never give up. I don’t care how much you think you can’t I am living proof you can. Get off the canvas stand up and fight. You have it in you I know it in my heart.

Visualize What You Want

If you would like to have things in your life change. Whatever, it is, visualize it see it in your mind. Find a peaceful place to get quiet and meditate on what you desire.

The power of visualization will help you manifest a better life, a more fulfilling relationship, a better job. When you see it, God sees it. Know in your soul that what you desire in your heart, will come to pass.

visualization, hope, prayer

To better meditate you may need to have soothing music playing. I have found that wearing headphones gets me into a more profound sense of peace and calm. This will allow you to tap into our subconscious mind. This is where real change takes place.

Don’t worry if you have difficulty getting started. Simply relax. Don’t get frustrated. Just invite your higher power into your mind. Ask for peace, then accept the order. Be grateful as you meditate for the peace you know have in your mind. Thank you, God, for the friendship I am experiencing right now. Keep saying that over and over until you begin to calm yourself.

Breathing in through the nose and out through the mouth. Deep cleansing breaths. This too will help you calm yourself. Don’t worry if it takes time. The first time you do it may seem hard or weird to do. Just do it and trust that you will find the peace. Keep saying thank you for my order and calm. It will come!

When you can meditate on something, it releases positive energy. It allows you to connect with the source (God). See yourself in a grand state. Like Lisa Nichols says “I know like I know like I know.”

You have to begin this now. Don’t hesitate to start your journey right now. If you have questions, send me an email now. The trip we can take together:
