Living Life with Joy, Happiness, Hope, Love, Yes You Can!

“I used to read five psalms every day – that teaches me how to get along with God. Then I read a chapter of Proverbs every day, and that teaches me how to get along with my fellow man.”–Billy Graham

We all must take time daily to nourish our soul. Taking time daily to feed our brains with good information allows us to weather life’s storms with greater knowledge. Therefore, you move through the storm armed with experience to guide you.

prayer, hope, Proverbs

Without knowledge, you can expect a tumultuous time when faced with life’s obstacles. Take time daily to make an investment in your own education, knowledge!

As we’ve discussed in other articles. Schedule time for yourself each day. Reading the bible especially Proverbs will help you through life. Every self-help book is written that teaches how to handle life’s woes, you can find in Proverbs the answer to overcoming life’s trials and tribulations.

I will challenge you to read a few pages of Proverbs if you have not. When I did it changed everything for me. All the knowledge I had acquired through reading self-help books was all their in the book of Proverbs.

If you have never read the bible I would recommend when you read Proverbs try the Message Bible, it’s written in today’s language. You will find it very easy to understand. The translation is amazing. The whole version makes learning the Bible easy.

Conflict in your Head Getting Rid of It

“Conflict cannot survive without your participation.”–Wayne Dyer

What I loved about Wayne Dyer is his ability to evolve his spiritual awareness. He was open to receive the grace of the universe, God.

The quote rings so true for me. Conflict in my head is what slows me down. Not taking time to resolve my thoughts to accept what is and faith for what will be.

prayer, bible, self help

Staying in faith that God will work through my life if I just let him. I’m terrible about hanging onto the past. Mistakes that we make are not life sentences of internal pain. This exists when we participate in that conflict.

Letting go of it is not easy for some. We get okay with pain, wallow in our own self-loathing. Begging the question, how do we stop this behavior?

Learning to forgive yourself is where I started. Throughout my life, I have chosen unwisely many times. Costing me relationships, especially with family. How you can resolve yourself is to not do the old behavior. Live life as a better you!

Don’t accept the status quo!

Today I don’t live as I did in the past. After enough loss in my life, what the hell us could I do? So you dive in and learn to live a life that YOU can be proud of. An easy measuring stick is to ask yourself when you’re doing something “would grandma approve?” When you are doing anything, we all know right from wrong!

This cliche when you have arrived at this place in your mind; “Sick and Tired of being Sick and Tired.” Crying, depressed, or ready to give up? DO NOT!

Change can hurt, change can take time. On the other side of change is the life God promises you will have. It’s not just going to happen this moment we all have to do the work. It’s so worth it!

Hurt comes in many forms. So this article applies if you’ve suffered loss from divorce, death, betrayal or any number of things that were out of your control.

The pain you are going through is not as important as how you deal with it. Learning to deal with our grief in a healthy way takes work. It’s worth the time and effort necessary to change old paradigms. The promise of life, happiness, and joy exist.

I can hear you screaming Okay how:

  1. Throw everything in your head up to God. Pray and confess everything negative in your life. Let him know you are ready for a change.
  2. Breathe. Take time every day to just stop and breathe. Don’t say this is stupid until you actually try. I thought to breathe whatever. Just take a minute or two only and breathe.
  3. Learn to meditate. It’s super easy!
  4. Get toxic people out of your life. Don’t listen to someone’s poisonous bile. You control the person you are not someone else.
  5. Patience. Nothing worth having comes overnight. Go at your pace, JUST GO. This is not a contest. Do things every day that help moves your life forward. Some days big stips, somedays small steps. Forward motion is always a good thing.

Okay, so five things to get you started. Now it’s your turn. GET STARTED!

The Message Bible Review

The Message Bible is beautiful and comfortable to read the bible. I find myself able to read through much faster, understand and retain more information.

For me, I needed a Bible that was easy to read. Certainly going back to read other versions of the Bible will strengthen your walk. However, we all need a base foundation to build from and this version of the Bible The Message gives you that foundation.

More and more Pastors are teaching from this version. Of the many versions of the Bible such as King James KJV, Amplified AMP, American Standard ASV, and New English Translation NET. So many to choose and certainly all worthy.

Spiritual, Religion, Faith

It’s an amazingly easy read and a wonderfully bound Bible. This Bible is a must read for anyone, but for those new to spiritual life, you will especially love how easy it makes the words of the Bible resonate in your journey. It truly helped me!

We all need a little Help

We all need a Little Help from time-to-time.

“Be true to yourself, help others, make each day your masterpiece, make friendship a fine art, drink deeply from good books – especially the Bible, build a shelter against a rainy day, give thanks for your blessings and pray for guidance every day.”—John Wooden

A sad truth about our mental health system does not only do people fear it as a stigma; most folks cannot afford it. Insurance pays some but I think we all can agree on coverage in most instances falls way short of what someone needs regarding mental health.

The good news is with the information you can find affordable mental health care even if you don’t have medical insurance. A great many mental health clinics work on a sliding scale, many non-profits and MHMR facilities also provide affordable mental health care.

Mental health, hope, happiness

Many Churches and faith-based organizations offer Pastoral Care. For those that are thinking this is a religiously based session, you’re wrong. Although supported by religious organizations, this is about mental health. You can certainly ask for prayer and other spiritual support, but you don’t have to, to receive services.

Local internet searches in your hometown will also yield you great information and resources local to you.

Check with your county hospital; ordinarily, social workers will have a list of local mental health resources that you can utilize.

Internet searches can give you many articles, videos and like information that you can begin to use to start the process (keep in mind nothing replaces a professional doctor or mental health professional).

Affordable care is out there you just have to search for it a bit.

Second Part of this article is more in line with finding ways to just feel a bit better. For example, meditation, yoga, and exercise.

Meditation has been a great source of comfort and indeed focuses my mind. Doing anywhere that you can find privacy is comfortable. It works best for me with headphones and good meditation music. You can find tons of great information and music on YouTube for free.

Just find a time that you can be uninterrupted and alone. My bedroom laying on my be is where I find the best peace. Focus on your breathing get relaxed and vision in your mind’s eye that which you want. Peace, happiness, and joy! See yourself in the right place. Over time you will learn how to block out the negative energy and find a beautiful place in your mind.

Yoga is a beautiful way to get Intune with your body. Bikram Yoga for me is terrific. The room is hot, and you sweat. The warmth really helps relieve tension by relaxing your muscles. It’s a beautiful release, I always feel better after Yoga.

Breathe, yes it sounds too simple but just breathes. Take a couple of minutes per day to just breathe. Take a few deep cleansing breaths in through the nose and out through the mouth. Then focus for about a minute to slowly relax and breathe. Focus your attention on your breath.

No matter how bad things are in your life the preceding is easy to do, and it’s two of them are free. Yoga, you may find free Yoga classes at a local community center, many Yoga studios’ offer a free class every now and again.

When you can get outside of yourself for a short time, you will be amazed at how solutions will come to you. When you’re freaking out that all is lost that is the energy you pull in. Stop it by doing these few simple things. They won’t solve your problems, but any step forward is one step closer to happiness.

Hope is out here. No matter how desperate your situation may be, hope is here. Help is not that hard to find sometimes it just takes a bit of searching.

New Day New Moment

It’s been a tough few months for me. Yesterday, was the end of a season in my life and today it’s time to let a new season unfold. I’m looking one more time in my rear view mirror to say goodbye.

self help, Bible, Faith, Hope
A new road, a new life, hope!

What I choose to accept in my life today is that God is in complete control of my life. My one little struggle with that is letting God do his job, and I do mine. In my studies, I have come to learn that if I continue to look backward or in the rear view mirror several things are going to happen.

Looking backward:

  1. I will miss the exit God has directed me to take. The enemy will rejoice in that.
  2. I will inevitably crash if I keep my eye’s looking backward instead of what’s in front of me.
  3. I live status quo, miserable with no change.
  4. What was meant for my destiny will fly by me because I am not allowing my real chance to unfold. Why, because I am not looking forward to seeing my new life.

As you can see if we look backward nothing good can come from it. Yes, I never really wanted such a significant change in my life. On some fronts, I was very content and others in hindsight I was not me anymore, that was not good.

Even though struggle comes from looking into the past, it’s hard not too. What I have come to learn is that we must pray for the strength to look forward, we have to learn to become expectant of beautiful gifts the Bible has promised us and that Jesus paid for on the cross.

Today I trust you will make a pact with me that we will look forward, leave the status quo behind. God has a plan for our lives why not see what that will be!
