Increase Your Value

Activity and productivity are often interchangeable, but they are two different things. Understanding the difference between the two can help you be more effective and efficient in your personal and professional life.

Activity refers to the things you do or the tasks you complete. It can be anything from responding to emails, attending meetings, exercising, or even taking breaks. Essentially, activity is any action you take.

Productivity, however, refers to the results you achieve from your activities. It measures how effectively you use your time and resources to accomplish your goals.

So, while activity is essential, it is only meaningful if it leads to productivity. So, for example, if you spend hours responding to emails but don’t get any meaningful work done, then you are engaging in activity but not necessarily being productive.

Increasing productivity, it is essential to focus on the most critical tasks that will impact your goals the most. As a result, you may have to say no to specific activities or delegate tasks to others. It also involves being mindful of how you use your time and being efficient in your approach to assignments.

One way to improve productivity is to use time management techniques such as prioritizing tasks, setting deadlines, and breaking larger tasks into smaller, more manageable ones. It is also helpful to eliminate distractions and minimize multitasking, as this can help you stay focused and avoid wasting time on unnecessary activities.

In summary, while activity is any action you take, productivity measures the results you achieve from those actions. So you can increase productivity, it is essential to focus on the most important tasks and eliminate distractions while also being mindful of how you use your time. By understanding the difference between activity and productivity, you can be more effective and efficient in your personal and professional life.

Get Organized

Effective time management is a crucial aspect of living an organized and productive life. When you prioritize your tasks and activities, you can make the most of your time and accomplish your goals more efficiently. Here are some tips for prioritizing your day and staying organized:

  1. Create a schedule or to-do list: One of the most effective ways to stay organized is to have a clear plan for your day. This can take the form of a schedule, which outlines the specific tasks and activities you need to complete at specific times, or a to-do list, which is a list of tasks and activities you need to complete in no particular order. Both of these tools can help you keep track of what you need to do and ensure that you are focusing on the most critical tasks first.
  2. Identify your priorities: Not all tasks and activities are created equal, and it’s crucial to prioritize the ones most important or urgent. To do this, you can use the “urgency and importance matrix,” which divides your tasks into four quadrants based on their level of urgency and importance. Tasks that are both urgent and important should be your top priority, followed by tasks that are important but not urgent, tasks that are urgent but not important, and finally, tasks that are neither urgent nor important.
  3. Set clear goals: Having a clear understanding of your long-term goals can help you stay focused and motivated and help you prioritize your tasks and activities. When you set specific, achievable goals, you can break them down into smaller tasks and activities that are easier to manage and tackle one at a time.
  4. Avoid distractions: Distractions can derail your productivity and make it harder to stay organized. To minimize distractions, you can try turning off your phone or other electronic devices when you need to focus, finding a quiet workplace, or setting boundaries with coworkers or family members.
  5. Take breaks: While it’s important to focus on your tasks and activities, recharge is also essential. Taking regular breaks can help you stay energized and focused, and it can also help you avoid burnout.
  6. Stay flexible: Even the best-laid plans can go awry, and it’s essential to be flexible and adaptable when things aren’t as expected. When facing unexpected challenges or setbacks, stay positive and focus on finding a solution.

By following these tips, you can prioritize your day and stay organized. Remember, effective time management is a skill that takes practice and dedication, but it’s worth it in the long run.

Covid-19 Social Distance Things to Do

Habakkuk 2:2 (ERV)

God Answers Habakkuk

2 The Lord answered me, “Write down what I show you. Write it clearly on a sign so that the message will be easy to read.

It’s incredible to me how much self-improvement information has its roots from the Bible. When reading Habakkuk 2:2, not only is God saying right down what you want. He is also speaking to create a Vision Board as well. Pretty cool!

life, hope, covid-19

As we all struggle to find our way of dealing with Covid-19. Now would be a great time as we all social distance to work on ourselves. Your mantra, “make me better.”

Here are some simple questions to get you started:

  1. If money, time, and resources were not the problem. What would I do with my life?
  2. Am I doing what I want to do in a career or what I must do? How could I change that?
  3. How could I bring a new me to all my relationships?
  4. Am I praying every day?
  5. Do I meditate every day?
  6. Am I taking care of my body, health?
  7. Am I living in faith?
  8. What kind-act could I reasonably do every day?
  9. Am I telling everyone in my life, “I love you” every day?
  10. Am I reading a book or doing something to educate myself daily?

Now is a great time to ponder our lives and begin to formulate a plan. Write down the answer to these questions or whatever comes to mind. In other words, turn off the TV stop binge-watching Game of Thrones and do something for you.

If you’re in a relationship, take time as a couple to do the same thing. What an excellent time to reconnect more deeply.

Instead of worrying about the world, take a moment to bring a better you back to the world. We all know that through the unlikely events we now face. At some point in time, we will move on. As Mathew McConaughey said in a video, “we’re all sitting at a red light that will soon turn green again.”

Remaining vigilant in this time, of course. However, while we sit around thinking of things-to-do. Let’s take some time for ourselves.

My challenge to you!

Go get a notebook, paper, whatever you can find. Begin to think of beautiful ways you can bring a better you back to the world. When we can all say, “thank God this is over.”

Organize to Win in Life

Just released my new book. Organize to Win in Life. Here is the Introduction to the book, I hope you enjoy.

Why people fail often is a lack of organization. Not truly understanding the difference between activity and productivity.

What if you could learn to manage your life for success?

Are you tired of trying only to fall short of goals?

Are you living in your Gift?

Life skills!

Self Improvement!

When the alarm clock goes off, are you bouncing out of bed excited, hurrying to get ready for a day you can’t wait to begin? If not, you’re are not living your best life, your Gift. God has a whole lot more for you!

If your ready, keep reading!Christian book, Life Change, Organize

Of course, anyone would love to learn how to manage life for success. Yet very few can. This book will give you skills with exercises to help you learn to organize for success.

How to plan a day with production.

How to achieve goals because we had a daily routine towards its achievement.

What some will begin to say is a couple of things:

  1. I don’t have time; my schedule is so full.
  2. I won’t live my life on a time clock.

The first thing we will learn is how to get rid of the “I can’t!” Yes, you can, and together, we will overcome negativity creeping into our thoughts.

Fear:

“Fear can be good when you’re walking past an alley at night or when you need to check the locks on your doors before you go to bed, but it’s not good when you have a goal, and you’re fearful of obstacles. We often get trapped by our fears, but anyone who has had success has failed before.”—Queen Latifah

Let’s touch on this for a moment. Fear is a natural response from within you. Fear moves you out of harm’s way. When your brain begins to feel stress, you will naturally jump back out of fear. “oh, this may hurt me.”

Learn that fear can be overcome with practice. You may fear to speak publicly. However, over time it will become second nature to you. When we do things, enough fear will disappear.

Remember, while learning anything. Ounce, you do anything enough times. When comfortable, fear will simply move away.

Procrastination is the leading cause of failure. Your own ability to get yourself to do nothing. Put off to tomorrow what you need to do right now.

Decide what you want. Plan. Work on that plan every day. Devote yourself to the life you want to have, not the experience you have to have. A significant difference in doing what you want to do versus what you must do!

One of the critical components you will learn in this book, Activity vs. Productivity.

When you master this, life will open in ways, your only option is smile.

We’re going step-by-step to learn how to totally organize our life for success. However, nothing in this book will work unless you are ready to change. You cannot quit because change is hard.

“When I stand before God at the end of my life, I would hope that I would not have a single bit of talent left, and could say, ‘I used everything you gave me.”–Erma Bombeck

Vision Board and Goals

Amazing how the bible is filled with everything we believe in regarding self-improvement. You can find it all in the Bible. Proverbs is an excellent place to start if you want to test my theory.

Proverbs was written by King Solomon. Let’s just say in today’s terms, King Solomon’s wealth would make Bill Gates look like a pauper.

Vision boards! Read this bible verse pretty cool:

Habakkuk 2

2-3And then God answered: “Write this.

Write what you see.

Write it out in big block letters

so that it can be read on the run.

This vision-message is a witness

pointing to what’s coming.

From basically the dawn of time, folks like you and I have studied to improve their lives. Throughout history, self-improvement has been a part of the discourse for millions of people.

Something to be said for goals and having a vision board for visual reference.

Here are some fun ideas to create a vision board:

  1. Gather up pictures from magazines, the internet, with your goals and dreams. Don’t be shy. Remember, God flung into existence the Universe, so I think he can handle even your wildest goals.
  2. A poster board makes a great vision board. Glue your photos all over it in a collage. Then place the board in a prominent place so that you see it every day. Several times a day!
  3. You can also make a folder in your photos on your phone, vision board. Then save into these photo pictures that inspire you.
  4. It’s okay to have more than one board. Again, don’t be shy.
  5. Do work. If you just stare at photos and never act. Nothing will happen. Action must occur faithfully, diligently, and consistently if you ever want your vision to come true!

Vision boards are ever-evolving. As one goal is achieved, get a new one on the board.

John Assaraf, in the movie The Secret. He told the story of his son, asking him what his vision boards were for. He said to his son, “they are daddies vision for his life,” as he thumbed through the boards,  stopped to see a photo of a house that years before he put on a vision board. He had not looked at this board for a long time. He then realized the new home they were moving in was the exact house he had just purchased.

goals, self improvement, self help

He never put that together until he was unpacking boxes in his home. A picture of his dream house, he clips out of a magazine years before he now owns. Wow, what a fantastic story.

Last year I had not looked at my board for some time. Even lapsing reading my goals for a time. Yet, I endeavor to not miss a day. Reading my own goals, I paused when I read the one that was to publish my first book in 2019. It dawned on me at that moment, I published seven.

Vision boards and written goals work!

The key to success with your goals is action. You cannot sit on your ass and expect the world to feed you. Get off your duff and get working. Small steps, giant steps, just move. Forward momentum with a plan will open up your life to incredible heights.

The life you want to have. Put in front of you every day. Let God know. Remember what it says in the bible. You have not because you ask not—James 4:2

Give it to God, vision yourself with what you ask. Do work. See your life manifest into abundance, peace, hope, and love.
