Give Up Control Have Faith

One of the hardest things for me to let go of is my wanting to control aspects of my life. If you’re going to have faith in the Universe (God) you have to give, go. It can’t be a negotiation with God over what part of your life he will run and what role we will run.

No matter what we must give him full control. It does not mean that you say okay God I need my life saved because of this issue whatever that might be. Then do nothing. It will take work on your part to have the patience that God works in his good time.

Learning to become a better person, doing good works in your life to bring a better you to the world. Worry about that over what the outcome will be. The result is entirely out of your control. The moment you say I got this and you impose your will to that which is in disarray. Nothing positive happens, form that.

We must learn to live not in our head but our soul. You must think about this for a while. How do I do the work?

Here is an example of working in faith:

Let’s say your marriage is at total risk of divorce. Separated, not talking it’s terrible. You want to call your spouse all the time, trying to work it out. How do we get through this time letting God work through us? Let’s say you know you want this person, you know you want the marriage, but the other partner does not at this time.

Here is how we work from our spiritual side and not our head.

  • Pray to God for guidance for YOUR life. Ask him where he would like you to be. Don’t beg him to fix your marriage, never begin prayer. He hears you, don’t beg.
  • Start doing things that bring a better you to the marriage should it come to pass that you get back together. Read books, go to therapy, pray for God’s will to be done in your life. God’s will not
  • Allow for time to pass. If it’s God’s will for the two of you to be together, you will be. Be open to the idea that maybe this person is getting moved out of your life so that your destiny can reveal itself. You don’t know! Let life open to you, not because of you! Think!
  • The pain you suffer will pass. It’s the equivalent of someone passing away when we lose a spouse. Don’t listen to all the garbage in your head, “well if I could tell them this, they would understand” stop it now. If you look to the trash in your head, you will lose for sure.
  • Have faith that no matter what happens your life will be better for this trial. If you get back together and all is well. Or if you end up divorced and life presents a NEW season for you.

If you seriously want change, then you must be willing to change. Some pain will come to our heart. Here is the real kicker. It may not work out but on the other hand, it might. Have faith that everything will turn out just as it should. Be open-hearted to receive God’s favor.Happy, Marriage, Spouse

However, should you desire change to happen naturally? Then who knows what life has in store for you. Believe me, and I do understand the pain of a breakup. At times it can be debilitating. We have to look up and say “okay God I don’t understand, and right now I don’t get it” then be willing to help ourselves, but let God handle our outcome.

I don’t doubt your pain. What I can tell you is if you follow in faith that life will open up to you as it should, life will get better. It will begin to get better quickly with confidence. You may have to talk to God hundreds of times a day. That’s okay. He has an open ear ready to hear from you. In situations like divorce, financial and loss we tend to beg God. Don’t beg in prayer.

When you pray, have it be about the outcome you desire. “I thank you, God, for the healing you have brought to the hearts of my spouse and me.” Pray as though you already have that which you desire as if you already have it. Don’t ask for something to be fixed; it already is through your faith in God.

God will unfold for you the destiny of your life. That may be something completely different than what you expected. The fantastic news is that it will be bigger, better, more joy, more peace and so much more than you could have ever supposed to happen. That is the fantastic gift that awaits you if you will only have faith!

Have too vs. Want too

Our lives are based on many things that we end up settling for because we don’t see a way to achieve what we desire the most. Do you want to continue to pay for the status quo? I don’t!

Throughout our lives, we have been conditioned to believe that without an education, money, status, and dozens more, why you cannot achieve. Your brain tells merely you NO. If you’re a spiritual person, the enemy gets in your head and convinces you that you will be nothing more than what you are today. Horse Manure!

Recondition your thoughts with faith. Not wishful thinking, hope! The big difference in that statement. You cannot just say to God, I want to write the next great novel that tops the New York Times bestseller list and not type a word. You have to take action to achieve what you desire. Work and I mean hard work.

The Life You Want

Most of us have had the question posed to us: “If you could do anything in the world, what would you do?” If you put aside a dream in your life, what is stopping you from picking it back up? The answer to that question is your head, doubt, and fear.

If like me you would like to live the last half of your life doing what you want to do not what you have to do, we need to make some radical changes. Not impossible changes, fundamental changes, big difference.

Here are a few things you need to make a part of your life now:

  1. Don’t worry about how you will do it. Believe as though it already exists in life now. This is incredibly powerful when you see it in your mind and believe it in your heart. The how will present itself when you least expect it.
  2. Stay out of your head. Overthinking kills dreams faster than anything. Believe in your heart.
  3. Take steps every day towards the new goal. It can be researched, educating yourself, praying, visualization, it can be anything that moves you forward.
  4. Fight to keep negative thoughts out of your head. Also, don’t listen to nay-sayers. Sadly that can be family. What’s in your heart is what matters. Follow that which calls to your soul.
  5. Fear is not part of your equation anymore. When you come from a place of fear, you will not attain your goal. Don’t be afraid to have the life you want. Surprisingly folks self-sabotage life because they’re conditioned to be frightened.

Thoughts are the killer of all dreams, negative thoughts will drag you down. Don’t listen to them. If you want something wrong enough, negative thinking has to be conditioned to not overtake your mind.

“I’ve missed more than 9000 shots in my career. I’ve lost almost 300 games. 26 times, I’ve been trusted to take the game-winning shot and missed. I’ve failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed.”–Michael Jordan

Get busy life is waiting for you, Godspeed!

Spiritual Warfare

Life can be challenging to navigate when we live in our heads. Our head filled with doubt, and hundreds of demons from our past. We’re in spiritual warfare. The enemy takes over your head, he can’t take your soul, but he can get into your head.

Difficulties will come hard, and they will go fast. This warfare inside your mind is a battle you can win! Tools of the war given to you in the Bible. For those that are screaming, “I don’t have a Bible, I don’t read the Bible; I don’t like the Bible, hang on this article will help.

Two ways we can live. In our head or our soul. If you suffer now, it’s a result of trusting your head and not looking beyond to the spirit that lives in you. Become the person you need to find to live the life you dream. Finding a spiritual connection in this life provides freedom. Notice I said nothing of religion or religious. I’m not asking you to convert I am asking you to find your higher power. For me, that is God.

If life is in turmoil, you don’t see a way out; your depression is debilitating. The odds are against you as we speak. Are you just going to lay down and let this wash over you? Or would you like to learn to fight? Hopefully, later.

The fight that is going to come with some real pain. I tell you this from my own experience. It’s also what I have heard from so many folks suffering as you do now. Everyone has problems at some point and time. Each of us has been to the brink of disaster. Anyone that suggests their life is rainbows and butterflies one hundred percent of the time is hiding the real pain. None of us are without sin or suffering.

Our head will tell us there is NO way out. Here is where the fight begins. Believe NOW as though what you suffer from is fixed, done, complete, over, and you are happy, joyous, and free of pain. If you see your life the way you want it EVEN THOUGH IT IS NOT IN THIS MOMENT, life will start to change. Don’t for one minute think it will change overnight. Know this, going to take some real work, and we’re going to fight your mind hard. The enemy loves for you to be in pain. He will fill your head with fear.

When I talk about the enemy being in your head (NO you’re not Reagan McNeil) this is the spiritual warfare I speak about in this article. God lives in your heart, your soul. The enemy likes to reside in your head where the real garbage can be put to do it’s worst. When we impose our own will, that is the enemy tricking you into failing. Think about it your head got you to the point your at today. How about some relief?

Praying as though what we want already exists even though we don’t have it yet. Try this it’s compelling! Here change will begin. You have to believe in your heart that you have the life you want, even when everything is crumbling around you. Don’t see your life in turmoil. You will only delay your change.

Seeing your life in the right way and not a negative way takes real patience and faith. It will be difficult to see a happy experience when in turmoil or pain. Dig in, if you want out of the pain, dig in. What I have done to help us learn to meditate and quiet my mind. When you can slow down the whirlwind that our minds can become. Fantastic peace can begin to happen. Seeing in our mind’s eye a life we desire.

Meditating will take a little practice, and your head will spin a bit for a time. It’s okay everyone has to practice. That’s why they call meditation a method. I like to lay on my bed lights out, with headphones that help drown out ambient noise. You can find tons of meditation music on YouTube. Find relaxing music that will help you do just that relaxing.

Your head will race for a time, just breathe and relax during your meditation. Ask God to be present, begin to see him sweeping peace over your life. As you meditate daily view yourself in life, you would choose to live. See yourself happy, see yourself prospering and let go of all the garbage. Faith believes before you see it. It’s the opposite of what our heads will tell us.

To win the spiritual battle in your mind, you have to believe in something you don’t yet have. The price of admission to a happy life is faith. The amount of confidence feels before you receive. Giving up in the face of adversity is not an option!

The attack in your mind will come hard, don’t despair. It’s habits that have chocked you for years, they won’t just stop overnight, but you can manage. The harder the attack in your noodle, the more magnificent the blessing is on the other side. One thing that was truly hard for me to get was why does God let me suffer. He is not, and God only gives us what we can handle. I can hear you screaming, “I can’t handle it.”Yes, you can.

faith, Prayer, God

Faith

If you will believe that when you don’t see a way will manifest. Now is when a change will begin. A significant difference in wishful thinking and faith. You have to put some action into your life. Just saying something does not make it so. Setting the work in will activate your ability to manifest a pleasant experience. I wish I could tell you that hoping for something will make it so, and it’s going to take work.

Don’t get caught in the trap of “it will never happen to me.” Here is the way I look at the lottery. They say you have a better shot at getting struck by lightning than winning. Someone eventually wins. So it’s not impossible because someone does win. Your odds of getting out of a dangerous situation are indeed less than winning the lottery, but you see my point. Nothing is impossible. You can even get struck by lighting.

Everything we’re discussing up to now that has to do with fear, doubt or your thinking you can’t do something. That is all conditioned in your head by the enemy. It’s time to break that bind. When you get a negative thought in your head, tell yourself reality is “fortune and glory kid”—Indiana Jones. No, seriously you can change your life’s trajectory if you choose too.

When you begin to live in your soul, drawing from the spiritual side of your life, change can happen. Get your head out of the equation and listen to the universe, your God. Amazing transformations will begin to occur. You will have trials, times where life seems unbearable. Times when you want to give up because you think in the natural world it’s too hard. Take one more step, take ten if you have to because change is just around the bend.

Don’t give up in your darkest moments, and God will manifest a life for you that dreams do come true. If God can put stars in the sky, I am pretty sure he can get you through what troubles you. Get in faith, do what’s before you and dream big. Don’t be afraid to ask for something you might think is enormous, remember God created the Universe so unless you’re asking for a solar system, again I am pretty sure God can make a way where you don’t see a way. You have to have unwavering faith!

When times are tough to remember everyone has problems, not just you, I do we all do. It’s temporary, and God loves you!

Think You Can and You Will

Changing your mindset from “I can’t do that” to “I can.” Nothing is impossible if you truly set your mind to it. The change will come if your faith in what you endeavor is truly unwavering. Life has conditioned us to doubt our ability.

We’ve been indoctrinated into the world of “oh I can’t do that,” or those around us tell us we can’t. When our peers or family say “oh don’t try that you don’t have this or that” to even complete the work. Our minds are garbage dumps for the enemy. If you genuinely believe you can, you can. If you genuinely think you cannot, well, you’re right.

Stereotypes get broken every day. People achieve amazing things because they believe they can. Nothing or no man can stop you from reaching that which you desire. The family may tell you don’t try. Usually, that comes from a place where they don’t want to see you get hurt.spiritual, prayer

Perhaps in your life, you have not achieved much. Therefore, folks around you don’t think you have what it takes to do the project you intend. Don’t listen to naysayers even if they’re family. Listen to what is coming from your heart. If you have a burning to do something, then get off your butt and get going.

Let me warn you now. Be prepared to get bombarded with doubt, fear, and an overwhelming will rush over you. This is normal. Remember, we all are conditioned with doubt and fear. Those are not realities you have to subscribe too. Belief, unwavering faith that you can achieve what you are working towards will overcome doubt. It takes real work, but you can do it when you worth through times of uncertainty.

Successful people will tell you the reason they win. They’re willing to take one more step than you are to succeed. Losing is not an option. Fear, doubt, and roadblocks are all bumps in the road. Improvise, adapt, and overcome! Moreover, don’t quit!

Stand your ground in faith. Learn to develop a mindset of positive thoughts. Do the work before you and believe in your passion. It may be a title fight to get what you desire, but imagine what life change will come if you maintain your faith.

The Power of Your Words

The current book I’m working on discusses the power of our words. Words can express love or cut deep into our heart. Remember the first time you told someone you loved them? Do you remember the first time you said something stupid and hurt someone?

Being conscious of what words we use to ourselves or those around us will make all the difference in the world our life experience. If we speak negatively to ourselves most likely depression, self-loathing will consume life. The sad part is over the years we become conditioned to negative words.

What I explore is the human experience of “nothing works in my life” I simply don’t have what it takes. You have given up hope because you see no hope. Blinded by years of indoctrination to feeding your mind with garbage the enemy wants you to believe.

Words, spiritual

Words Have Power Choose Wisely

Good news is that it can change. I can already hear some of you saying this is BS. NO, when you get kicked square in the gut time after time. Sorry, but its time to cowboy-up as they say. None of what I’m talking about now or what I’m finishing in my book is easy. If it were, we would all have rainbows flying out of our butt’s!

Don’t you get angry or discouraged and quit on my now! It was and still is very hard for me on days to overcome my head. It gets better I promise you that with practice and sweat it does. Everyone has seen world-class athletes perform. They don’t walk out and compete at that level without a few bumps and bruises along the way. The change will take time, and you will have difficulties.

Candy coating won’t make change occur. You have to dig in tell the enemy his fifteen minutes is over and take back your life. When you begin to change he will come at you hard attacking all the weaknesses in you he can find. Stronger we are in the lord. Call to prayer the lord. If you need to say a thousand times “I am strong in the lord” do it! Fight as you’ve never fought before.

Foremost, get some help. Get into a good bible based church. Find somewhere that you can speak to folks that are strong in the lord. They will minister to your hope and strength in the word of God. Don’t second guess me right now. Don’t over think that some bible thumper has no clue what I’m going on in my head. YES, they do! You don’t have to run down the aisle with a handful of serpents screaming Jesus save me.

What you will learn by the grace of God from Christians that simply walk with Christ first in their lives, how to find peace. How to smile again. How to laugh again. How to love again. How to live in your soul and NOT your head.

  • Positive Self Talk
  • Positive Affirmation
  • Listen to your Heart

Get negative Christian stereotypes out of your brain. For years I turned my back on any spiritual growth in my own life. When you live in your heart and not in your head, life will open like a beautiful flower. Think about this for a minute. Your life is in turmoil allow yourself to cast your cares to God in prayer with an open heart and mind. NO, Mr. Skeptical you can’t just say God pay my rent, sit on your ass and the rent gets paid. What you can do is pray to God that your problems are too big for you to handle alone and you’re grateful that he has made a way where you see no way.

You still have to go to work. Do things that are in front of you. Learn not to impose your will. When you can believe the outcome BEFORE you receive the blessing hang on God is about to change your life. It’s hard it takes work, sweat and yes you may even cry. God does not just come along and fix stuff for free. The price of a happy life is FAITH. He has already given it to you. Don’t ask for what you already have from him, thank him for the blessings yet to come as though you have them TODAY. Immense power in what I am telling you to try. What have you got to lose?
