Choose Happy

Today choose to be happy! For some of us easier said than done. Don’t let the enemy win. Negative thoughts to discourage your joy may bombard you. Keep looking up and saying NO, today I am going to be happy, joyous and free.

We all struggle when we’re in a season of hurt. The only way to get out of that hurt is to keep saying NO MORE. I am active in the Lord and the power of his might. Begin to see yourself in your mind’s eye happy. See yourself laughing and joyous.

Happy, Joy, Fun

For me, the struggle is always a battlefield in my head. If I let the enemy defeat me, what do I have? More of the same. I want to tell a quick story that was very releasing to me. It gave me the power to overcome the enemy yesterday.

While in the restroom, my head was spinning out of control. The enemy was filling my head with lies and deceit to keep me down. The enemy is a vile, disgusting entity. So while I was relieving myself of water, I thought this is the most offensive thing I could do was water on the Devil rebuking all his disgusting, evil ways. Then I am going to flush you down the toilet to be gone. OUT of my life! Fight fire with fire! When I spoke that NO MORE WILL YOU TORMENT MY THOUGHTS, DRAG DOWN MY LIFE, WHEN I FLUSH YOU DOWN TO THE SEWER YOU BELONG IN. I WAS ANGRY AT THE ENEMY FOR TAKING MY JOY. NO MORE WILL HE TAKE MY JOY.

After I gave praise for my joy and happiness. That all things were possible with Christ on my side.

It’s a little, to say the least, unorthodox to do something like this. I say whatever works to rid yourself of the enemy do it. Don’t lose your joy. No matter how hard you have to fight, fight!!!

All of us want peace, happiness, prosperity, and joy. If you lose the battle with the enemy in your head, don’t despair. Pick up your armor and tell him to get the hell out. Time for you to go! See yourself at peace. See yourself laughing. See yourself free of debts and worry. You can do it, I am praying for all who are reading this now that God is bringing peace to your heart, prosperity to your family, and happiness to your smile. In Jesus name, I pray this for you now.

Go kick some enemy behind! You and I will live a happy life and laugh in the face of despair. NO more do we suffer, we together NOW claim all Gods promise and joy for our lives.

Stay in peace, friends.

Lonely How About a Pet

For many years I went without any sort of pets. Seemed to be too much of a hassle, can’t go anywhere lots to clean up. So I just did not have a pet in my life. That’s not the case today. My dog, Glitzy, gives me such joy and happiness. She is the best companion. She is also a massive member of our family.

Glitzy is such a part of my life. She rides in the car with me, greats me when I wake up with kisses and she is joyous to see me. She sleeps under the covers and snuggles up all night. She is comfort while sleeping. When I come home, she again greets me with a joyous, loving reception. Lots of kisses from Glitzy.adopt a pet, pet, dog

When Glitzy came home as a puppy, she could fit inside a coffee mug. She was tiny and incredibly cute. Her hair was soft as angels wings. I would hold her close to my neck, and she would sleep and cuddle. The bond began.

Now I would not think of a life without a pet to love. Anything that I stressed about in owning a dog have all been eliminated ounce she got home. Every since even if she has an accident in the house which is rare, it’s no big deal.

Before you venture out to get a pet. Think about several things before you adopt a pet into your home.

  1. Make sure the breed you choose fits your lifestyle. For example, hyper dogs require lots of room to run and burn off energy. If you don’t like to be outside that much, don’t get a water dog or a more hyper breed. This is how pets get re-homed, and that is truly sad for the animal.
  2. Keep in mind that just like a child, an animal needs love and attention. Make sure you have time to devote to the care and love of your pet.
  3. Keep in mind potty training takes time. So you may need to segregate your pet to a vinal or tile floor. Clean up is much more comfortable. If your house is a total carpet, you seriously may want to look into vinal floors. Sorry, but once a dog or cat urinates on the rug, it won’t come out entirely.
  4. Make sure you have in your family budget money for regular Veterinary care. Dogs need heartworm medicine regularly. Not to mention if they get sick. Taking care of your pet is your responsibility.

dog, pet, lonely

Have a pet companion is the most significant thing in the world. Glitzy has such a sassy personality and very bossy. Glitzy Barks at me for everything Glitzy needs even when I don’t know what that is.

If you need a little company, think about adopting a pet. I can tell you that folks that choose say they received the greatest gift. Dog’s and cats seem to sense when they come home after being in a shelter. It may take a few days for them to get settled in.

Once your pet gets a sense of home, and you become a part of your animal’s pack. You will cherish them like you do any other family member.

Check with your local shelters about adopting!

Faith Eludes Me

When thinking of faith, I quickly come to realize without it I’m lost, but holding onto it is merely a struggle. It eludes me often. Believing in something that you can’t tangibly hold onto, feel or smell. It goes against some preconceived notion in the mind that you can’t find something you can’t see.

faith in God

Faith in God

So for me looking outside my noodle is where I find reasons for hope. Two things have happened to me the last two times I have gone to church. Things that you can’t explain why these blessings happened, but they did.

First, as you can tell, I write and love photography. As I sat in church with my sister and brother-in-law. The pastor was asking the congregation at the end of the service if anyone wanted to accept Christ in their life or if you felt disconnected from Christ and want to renew your faith to raise your hand. As the Pastor asked one last time to restore your faith in God, I raised my hand. The usher brought over some materials for me to read and a cd. As I was beginning to sit down, the pastor completely stopped everything and motioned “Sir, Sir, yes you sir.” I looked up to realize he was speaking to me. He said, “God is speaking to me now, and he is saying you need to continue to work on your creative life; this is good.” The service continued.

This is coming from a man who has never met me ever. My first time in this church in my life. Nothing would have connected me to the pastor except for God. If that was not God talking to me through him, what was it then?

Over the past week, my struggle with faith has been put to the test in a barrage of negative thoughts and self-loathing. Fighting the enemy from the moment I awake until my eyes shut, passing out for pure exhaustion from the battle.

So to my amazement and the amazement of my sister, who knows that my past week has been a troubling challenge with the enemy. My headaches this week from the battles have been some nights overwhelming.

What makes this indeed, thought-provoking. At the end of church service today as the pastor was ending the service he said that before the ceremony God spoke to his heart and he wanted to pray for people who couldn’t find peace in their head, suffered from terrible headaches. So he prayed over that. Again I was completely taken aback.

If God is not speaking to me in these moments, then this guy is a clairvoyant of such immense gifts as to be unrivaled by anyone. It’s God, and I get that!

Even with two big fish smacked across my head saying hey buddy, this is God and I hear, sadly I still struggle a bit. However, I do pause more to say wait a minute; perhaps something is understood that I need to believe in.

What I’m suggesting to you is that if faith eludes you. Then put yourself in situations where God might have a chance to speak to your heart. Whether that is church, nature, watching your kids play. Whatever just get yourself in a place that God can talk to you. One big thing, prayer!

If you don’t hear God like I did this past week. Then like I’m suggesting get somewhere, especially church where with no expectation you just allow what happens to be.

For me only after I lost my faith, not wholly mind you but lost. God nudged me, and what came to my heart was believe. God hears us even when we think he’s not listening. Many times this past week, I honestly thought I was alone.

Battling through these tough times for anyone can be daunting. My point is we’re not alone with faith in God and probably not alone on this earth. Don’t lose hope, I give you my word I won’t if you won’t miss trust. Let’s make that pact together and let God know what you’ve done!

Trusting

Right now, I am going through a situation where trusting whether or not I’m making the right decision is incredibly hard. Throwing it to God is of course what I’m doing. Like everyone, I try to help God.

When you help God, no matter how well-intentioned you are, that is not trusting. For me, this is a huge learning curve. My entire life has been about worry, controlling, and stress. When I can leave it to God to show me the way. He is not really talking to me too much about this issue right now. Could be I have my hand too far in it.

The sad part about this issue is the difficulty it brings to my entire family. It’s a feud that may never be resolved. It’s embedded deep in everyone’s heart and sadly not in the right way. So my balancing act tries to continue. When I need to let go and let God guide this for everyone.

So if you’re going through incredible hardship, personal, family or work. If the answer is not coming. Check yourself to make sure you have entirely surrendered the issue to God. When you do that the answers will come! Keep faith!!!

Faith Are You Hanging On

How is your faith doing today? For those of us that live in the real world, hope can elude us for extended periods. It doesn’t have too. We have to practice faith daily.

If necessary, we have to practice hour-to-hour or moment-to-moment if needed. Throughout life, we have challenges to our faith. For example, illness, divorce, addiction, it can be anything that gets us in the wrong place. Don’t feel alone if that’s where you currently reside. I to have these troubles.

Prayer, hope, love

Sometimes having to talk to God over and over again expressing our faith that all is well in our life. Even when you don’t believe it down deep, I deplore this “fake it till you make it” because when it’s said to me, I am in no place to hear it. My thought is you’re the same when people tell you everything is okay fake it till you make it. Arrrgg!

When we’re in the wrong place, it’s hard to hear advice. Especially when it comes as a platitude. The funny part is. It’s precisely what you and I need to hear when we need to listen to it. Makes me want to scream, but it really does work. When you can tell yourself enough times, for example: “God, I know you’re with me even though I don’t feel your presence.” Saying something like that over and over again. After a time, you really will feel it. For me, it comes out in my writing.

So like the title describes are you hanging on? If that is all you can do today is simply hang on. Bravo! Hang on to faith even when you don’t feel it. Just when you think God is not to be found. Bam, something happens to remind you that God is right where he is supposed to be. In your heart, right by your side.

Today at church, I had a fantastic thing happen. It reminded me just that. As I sat in the congregation, the pastor was praying for folks giving their lives to Christ. When he asked if anyone else needed to come to Christ, I lifted my hand. The usher brought over some prayer materials for me. I raised my hand because for the last little while I have been struggling with hope and faith. My faith was hanging on by a thread, to be honest.

As the pastor began to move across the stage, he suddenly stopped looked at me and said, sir, yes, you sir. I looked at him to hear the words the pastor said to me, “God is telling me you need to continue your creative work.” “That is what you’re supposed to do.” The service went on.

Needless to say, my heart was racing, tears came to my eyes with joy. For the longest time, my heart has been driven to write. Photography and writing truly bring me joy. To hear out of the blue, from by the way a man I have never met and today was my first day to ever set foot in this church. Well, you can imagine my total amazement in what had happened to me. God reached out to me to say follow your passion.

So does holding onto faith work? God answered me at the most incredible time, in a church full of great folks worshiping God. He chose to talk to me when so many others, I’m sure needed to hear something from him. So how grateful am I? Beyond words.

I have had to fake it until I could make it. Today God answered me most unexpectedly. Didn’t see that coming! The impact was terrific and gives me hope when I honestly was seeking hope and faith. It had been eluding me and bam God talked to me. So I am living proof friends that in your darkest hours if you stay in faith, God will answer you.

Don’t give up, just keep moving towards God. He will find you when you most need it. Just be ready. He will show up when you least expect, but in Gods wisdom, you most need it. Give your cares to God even when you don’t understand staying in faith.

I am always happy to hear from you. If you have comments or questions, please feel free to reach out. God bless you!
